Avocado & Walnut Pesto

Say goodbye to your ordinary pesto and hello to this gourmet avocado and walnut pesto! Made with Elan organic hulled hemp seeds, raw walnuts and raw pumpkin seeds, this recipe revisits a classic with fresh new flavors, ideal to top your favorite pasta. Share your recipe images with us!

  • 1 avocado, ripe and diced
  • 1 tbsp Elan Organic Hulled Hemp Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Elan Organic Raw Walnuts
  • 1 tbsp Elan Organic Raw Pumpkin Seeds
  • 1 cup each, parsley, basil, and mint, leaves picked
  • 1 tsp Himalayan pink salt, fine
  • 1 garlic clove, pureed
  • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil, cold pressed for optimal flavour
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • ¼ tsp chilli flakes




  1. Add all ingredients, except the avocado, to a food processor and pulse until uniform in size.
  2. Right before serving, incorporate the chunks of fresh avocado with a spatula.
  3. Serve immediately.
